LIGHTING 101 You don’t have to have five lights to complete a well executed portrait. Using only a two light system, Greg will demonstrate a creative Executive Portrait, Modeling shot and even a simple table top product shoot. Being creative does NOT need five lights to complete your objective.
Day 2
STRENGTH IN COMPOSITION
Using the theory of composition Greg will open up your eyes to the simplicity of creating stunning images using composition rules. This will benefit every photographer, whether you’re a landscape artist, architecture enthusiasts or simply wanting better images of your kids and family trips.
Bio:
Greg Schurman received his diploma and formal training from the Photography program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Alberta (NAIT) in 1994.
Greg joined the BC Photographers Association (PPABC) and (PPOC) in 1994. Since then he has been very active in the association and has won many “Best in Class” awards as well as earning eight national accreditations from the PPOC.
Greg’s service and imaging excellence has earned him the coveted designation of Master of Photographic Arts (MPA) from the Professional Photographers of Canada, as well as the prestigious BC Fellowship Award (F/PPABC).In 2000 he was honored to receive his first of three BC Photographer of the Year awards. He also earned the title in 2002 and most recently in 2005.
His accolades do not stop at PPOC, over the years he has also won Fuji’s National top awards in all three divisions in Wedding, Portrait, and Commercial.
Over the last couple of years, Greg has become a popular speaker, lecturing at many photo clubs and organizations across Canada. Greg’s high energy filled program will be sure to inspire both the seasoned and novice photographer to break the boundaries and try new and exciting techniques to take their photography to another level.
